Samsung Electronics East Africa has officially unveiled its 2026 television line-up in Kenya, and the headline act is the new Mini LED TV range. Built around brighter pictures, richer colours, larger screens and smarter AI-powered viewing, the new range is a clear signal of where home entertainment is heading and Samsung intends to lead that conversation.
The launch also carries a milestone. This year marks Samsung's 20th consecutive year as the Global No. 1 TV brand, a position the company has held by consistently pushing what a television can actually do.
At the core of the new range is Mini LED display technology, which uses microscopic LED lights to deliver more precise control over brightness and contrast. The result is deeper blacks, sharper highlights and images that look noticeably more lifelike across every type of content. Add AI-powered picture enhancement that analyses what you are watching in real time and optimises the image accordingly, and you have a television that is actively working to make every scene look its best.
The Mini LED range is available in two series, the M80H and M70H, across multiple screen sizes, making Samsung's latest display technology accessible at more price points than premium TV launches have traditionally allowed.
The 2026 Mini LED range introduces Samsung's Vision AI Companion, and it reframes what interacting with your television actually means. Rather than simply displaying content, the TV now responds to questions in real time, helping viewers discover what to watch, access information and navigate their entertainment more intuitively. It is a shift from screen to intelligent companion, and it feels like a genuinely meaningful one.
For sports fans, the new AI Soccer Mode is worth paying attention to. The feature automatically recognises football content and enhances both picture and sound to recreate something closer to a stadium atmosphere from your living room. And with Motion Xcelerator 144Hz keeping fast movement smooth and blur-free, everything from live sport to action films to gaming stays sharp even in the quickest sequences.
Samsung has confirmed that the 2026 TV story in Kenya is not finished. Later in September, the company will expand its premium portfolio with the introduction of the next-generation Micro RGB TV, promising exceptional colour accuracy, brightness and picture precision at the top end of the home entertainment market.
